Birth of Ida - Yvette Montagnon, in Suresnes (France).

Her father, an accordionist was interested in classical guitar. In Paris, he came to a concert the master Segovia gave. From that moment, he had no other life but that of his daughter and lived with but one goal: "Ida will become the greatest guitarist of the century". |

| 1930 | 6 y. | As soon as she had the instrument in her hands, Ida spontaneously played a chromatic scale... Every morning, her father would place on her music stand a new piece of music, a study or a concert piece selected from the Segovia repertoire. |

| 1933 | 9 y. | She played at André Verdier's home (the president of the "Friends of the guitar") and creates such ravishing delight in her audience. |
||
| 1935 | 11 y. | Her father rented the "Salle Chopin" for her first public concert. This concert created quite a stir in the press. |
||

After, she will play for Joaquin Rodrigo, Joaquin Nin, Joaquin Turina, Emilio Pujol, Segovia...

She started to record most of the pieces of her basic repertoire on 78s: Andaluza by Fortea, Rumores de la Caleta by Albeniz, Serenata by Malats, Courante by Bach, Suite en ré mineur by De Visée, Allegretto from Sonatina by Torroba...

| 1938 | 14 y. | She was engaged two years in a row as soloist with the orchestra of the "Concerts du Conservatoire". | ||
|
After a concert at the "Salle Gaveau", her father died. Ida was the only person in the family capable of making a living for herself, her mother and her little sister (then three years old).

| 1945 | 21 y. | She performs the 'Sonata Concertata' by Paganini on the 'Radio Nice' station and appears in the most prestigious concert halls. |

| 1947 | 23 y. | It took her less than a week to learn the 'Concierto de Aranjuez' by Rodrigo. The concert, was broadcast live by 'Radio Paris'. |

| 1950' | At the begining of the 1950s, she had become again a famous guitarist, sought after by the great concert halls of France and Europe. On the other hand, her marital status became intolerable: she divorces. |

| 1952 | 28 y. | The year 1952 was decisive, since it saw the beginning of their life together as well as their first appearance as a duo - it was the beginning of their fantastic career. |
